The last Test Before the Trial

half-marathon, running

Next saturday is the day for the half-marathon which I (should) have trained for. And yesterday was the last day I will run before the real trial so i decided to test my shape.

The plan was to run 15 km on asfalt, in the same pace as my goal .. which is 5:00 min pr km.

I would run 3 times around the small town near my parents house (whom we were visiting). But as i was warming up i noticed that a small gravel trail had be made around their house. I decided to test as a warmup .. and it turned out to be almost exactly 1km long .. which somehow lured me into making a new plan .. I would run it 15 times ;)

But boy was I in for a lesson in running on gravel and (small) hills as you can se here I decided to stop after 12 km because I felt like I expected to feel after 15 km and getting injury just a week before the race would be plain stupid ;)

I still think my goal is within reach accounting for gravel and 114m elevation gain and 111m loss
